The Preparation

You might think 'Why on earth would you want to undertake a fast or a Master Fast for that matter?!'. Well.... Because I am passionate about health. I am interested in seeing this earth become a healthier place with happy, healthy, God-loving people on it.

I feel healthy. I am never sick. My lifestyle consists of mainly eating fruit, leafy green salads, veggies, here and there cooked vegan meals, every day I enjoy home made juices, I walk daily and I enjoy exercising, sauna's and hot/cold showers. However that does not mean that my body is completely clean of any mucous plaque and parasites/worms. I know.... I would rather also just skip that thought, however if they do occupy some space inside my body then I do want them to leave. Simple as that.

The Master Fast System

The Master Fast (MF) lasts between 40-108 days. I know, right?! That's a looong time. But when you think of it concerning a lifetime it actually isn't that long. Nonetheless it is a courageous thing to undertake. It takes guts and determination.

During the MF you abstain from any form of food and drink, besides grape-lemon juice, herbs, herbal kidney tea, "GI Broom" and a particular drink you take whenever you break a long Dry Fast.

Dry Fast

A Dry Fast (DF) is actually what is sounds like; you do not consume anything at all.
Dry fasting helps to open up the kidneys. And that's exactly what we want to happen. When the kidneys don't filter or don't filter well, we become toxic. Our lymphatic system (which is one of the two fluid systems in our body, the other fluid system is our blood. The lymphatic system is our largest fluid system and surrounds our cells. It takes up about 80% of the fluid in our body and the rest is blood) collects waste from the cells and the kidneys expel the waste. However when the kidneys are blocked, the lymph system will become congested with build-up waste. Toxicity leads to all sorts of problems. From minor aches and issues to serious health threatening conditions. When the kidneys are able to filter, the lymph system can move and the kidneys are able to eliminate the toxins and acid from the cells.
Dry fasting is easier than you might think it is. I guess the biggest struggle is to overcome the mind, the stomach and the opinions of mankind. Nonetheless, undertaking a longer DF can definitely bring challenges and all sorts of conditions along with it. The so called "healing crisis".

The good news is; the night time counts. I started my first intentional DF yesterday. I say "intentional", because when I think of it I have more often reached a minimum of 12 hours DF without meaning too. It good very well be you might have as well. But yesterday it was intentional as part of my preparation of the MF. As I type this I am still on my DF and I plan to break it at after I have reached 12 hours, which is almost. The only thing I notice is that my lips are a bit dry, but that's all.

I have planned some more DF days before I actually start with the MF so I can get used to dry fasting. The next DF I plan to go at least 16 hours and the following one I hope to do 24 hours. It would be fun to see if I am able to reach 3 days (72 hours) of dry fasting. They say that 1 day of dry fasting equals 3 days water fasting.

Herbs

The herbs used during the MF are either directly bought from Dr. Morse or through the Master Fast System website mentioned below (see sources). Either way they are based on Dr. Morse's forty plus years of clinical experience bringing hundreds of thousands people back to health.

The minimum used during the MF is the so called Fab Four:
Kidney & Bladder Tonic 1 Tincture
Lymphatic System Tonic 1 Tincture
Endocrine Balance Tincture
Stomach & Bowels Tonic (either capsules or tincture)

Herbal Kidney Tea

I am planning to make my own herbal kidney tea. I have ordered organic herbs and once they drop in the mailbox I am going to mix 100 grams of each herbs. These herbs are needed for the herbal kidney tea:

Couch grass
Uva Ursi leaves
Lavender flowers
Nettle leaves
Parsley leaves
Astragalus root
Marshmallow root

Grape juice

It is best to use Concord Grape Juice. It is said they have the best information after being cooked. However, also other types may work, like black cherry, pomegranate, cranberry, guava or other dark berry juices. I am going for grape juice, but you never know what happens while on the MF. I might feel like black berries some day and if I do, I'll go for it. I want to stay away from becoming overly strict if that would hinder my journey. On the other side I am not planning to make compromises. Using another type of juice doesn't feel like a compromise, but drinking something not recommended during MF would.

Lemons

Personally I am a fan of limes, however it is best to use lemons, so lemons it will be. Lemons, being fresh, "wake up" the pasteurized grape juice. Closer to the date I will be stocking up with lemons that will last me every time for about 3-4 days. I will do the same for the grape juice. The less going into stores / visiting markets the better, I think :)

GI Broom

Every day will start or finish with a so called "GI Broom". A mixture of psyllium husks, activated charcoal and clay. This mixture helps to scrape, absorb and pull toxins out of the GI tract.

Fly by the seat of my pants

The coming time I will transition towards the MF. I have a planning, but at the same time I will fly by the seat of my pants. That has always worked best for me. I listen to my body and follow my intuition.

To your health,
Mirjam.

PS I just reached 14 hours of dry fasting. I am going to make a beautiful watermelon juice and a green juice for a little later. Blessings :)
